Welcome from the President

Good evening Bomber’s Mums, Dads and Caregivers,

It is an absolute pleasure and privilege to be club president for 2025. I wish to take this opportunity to thank Tim Ryall for his contribution to our club as President over the last 5 years and express my gratitude to Tim for offering to support as Caretaking Secretary while I learn the role and until we have someone more permanently for the position of club secretary for 2025. 

The Fassifern Bombers are a fantastic club and no matter what town you live in, we all come together at Hayes Oval to represent our beloved Bombers. This year we celebrate 50 years of the Bombers and we are marking this occasion with a family fun day which includes lots of free activities, raffle, food trucks, live band and bar. We can’t wait to see you all there. 

In preparation for the 2025 season, you will receive an email requesting expressions of interest from prospective Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers. Every team needs volunteers to fill these roles. 

Information about sign on days will also be advertised in the coming weeks of our Facebook page and via our local schools. System go live (for registration) is dictated by the QRL and therefore we cannot confirm sign up dates yet. If you have a Fair Play voucher, you will be able to redeem these to cover registration fees. If you don’t have a Fair Play Voucher yet, jump online and apply, as this government initiative is available for all families until allocations run out.  

We are proud that our club offers some of the lowest registration fees, to make Rugby League accessible to all kids. We can do this because we have an amazing network of volunteers, that help us put on great home game events, operating the canteen and selling merchandise. Money raised also helps us fund events such as the 50^th celebration, trophies, end of year celebrations that we can all enoy. 

Thank you to our wonderful committee and extended committee members who take on roles and go above and beyond for the club, to give our kids a great experience. A special thank you to Juanita, our Vice President, who’s creativity and passion bring us great events and merchandise. In due course I will provide a full list of committee members and their roles. 

Thankyou to everyone who has cooked steaks on the BBQ, filled the gas bottle, emptied the bins, sold merchandise etc. Every volunteer is greatly appreciated, and your efforts make our club strong and future proof. We hope you can continue to assist us in 2025.
